Working on many projects (both custom and commercial modules from third parties), I've often seen repeated mistakes that developers made in module development. I decided to write a short blog post to share a bit experience about don'ts in module development with the hope to make the job easier for others.
Here are the three common mistakes:
- Use of the <br /> tag to create padding or margin between elements
- Fixed width in module layout
- Inline CSS straight in the code

Since dnnGallery opened to public in less than two weeks, we received quite a bit attention from the community. Thanks to all the support and encouragements from the community especially to those who took the time to personally e-mailed me. Many thanks to Vitaly Kozadayev and Tom Kraak to show great support to us as well.
We have had visitors from more than 70 countries around the world visiting us and dropped us some notes to say how they enjoy seeing the new showcase site for DotNetNuke framework.
This site is not only a small showcase sites, it represents great work that many have taken DotNetNuke seriously and successfully implemented to many organizations worldwide.
